Vista House

The view from this house is to the east, across the meadow in the foreground to the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.

The long sloped roof, oriented to the south, allows a maximum area for solar panels while also accommodating a second floor as the roof rises to the north. The compact and efficient integration of exterior form with the embedded functions has made the construction of this house very economical.
